2018 Winter Events Near Fort Myers, FL

Winter is just around the corner, and there are so many events to enjoy in the Fort Myers and Naples area! With numerous concerts, festivals, museums, car shows, and events to choose from, everyone in the family should find an activity to love. Here is a list a few of the Fort Myers winter events and Naples activities that you can plan for as 2018 begins.


Edison Festival of Light

Visit the Edison Festival of Light to enjoy crafts on the river, a classic car show, parade, 5K run, and food trucks with sippable craft beers. This annual festival commemorates the life of Thomas Edison and his achievements and will run from February 10th-18th, 2018. It’s a whole bunch of fun for the entire family, so plan to attend at least one day this year! 

Edison Ford Antique Car Exhibition

Along with the Edison Festival of Lights, you can also celebrate Thomas Edison's birthday on February 3rd with the Edison and Ford Winter Estates at the Edison Ford Antique Car Exhibition. The exhibit features more than 100 antique cars that will be showcased on the Ford estate lawn. Admission is $25 per person and includes entry into the antique car exhibit as well as a self-guided tour of the estates, museum, and labs.

Caribbean Cruise-In Car Shows

Head down to Parrot Key at Salty Sam's Marina to check out the finest selection of classic and exotic cars, tons of live music, and enough beer stands to keep you on your toes. There is no admission to the car show and you can enter to win prizes or shop the souvenirs for sale while there. This Fort Myers car show takes place the first and third Monday of most months, including January and February of 2018.

Bonita Brewfest 2018

Sample more than 200 unique beer and ciders at the Bonita Brewfest in Bonita Springs. It is the perfect local place to explore new craft brews and sip on your favorite lagers. Enjoy live music while testing new ales and eating dishes made inside some of Bonita’s best food trucks. The event is held on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Naples City Live

Head over to the Naples City Live Music Festival 2018 for an unforgettable experience and the best live music in Naples, FL. The outdoor music festival brings in live bands to help benefit the Children's Advocacy Center of Collier County. Catch William McCarthy, Kids, Have Gun, and Will Travel live on March 2nd at the Naples Botanical Garden.

Fort Myers Home and Remodeling Show

The biggest home show in southwest Florida allows you to connect with contractors specializing in flooring, pools, landscaping, water treatment, and more. The event, held at the Lee Civic Center in N. Ft. Myers from January 5th to 7th, will have everything for the inside and outside of your home. Kevin Hart: Irresponsible Tour

Kevin Hart's Irresponsible Tour comes to the Germain Arena on January 13th. The comedian and actor is sure to bring tons of laughs during the entire show, so grab your tickets now before they sell out—and they will!

Florida Everblades Game

The Florida Everblades ECHL hockey team has several games scheduled during the winter, including bouts against the Jacksonville Icemen, Orlando Solar Bears, Norfolk Admirals, and several other teams. Some of their promotions include Marvel Superhero Night, Dr. Seuss Night, Princess and Pirate Night, $2 Wednesday ($2 Beer, Wine, and Hot Dogs), and Military Night. A hockey game in Estero during the winter is a great way to spend time with family.
